Not Operated is a Berlin-based electronic artist known for his 100% hardware live techno sets, marked by raw analog energy and sharp-edged groove. With over a decade of club experience and a sonic vision bridging techno, electro, and experimental composition, he stands out for merging physical dancefloor impact with sound exploration. He has released music on respected labels such as DJ International (Chicago), Exploited, Twirl, RAW (Bogotá) and runs his own imprint Solenoid Records, a platform for forward-thinking techno. As a DJ and live performer, he has played at renowned venues like Renate, About Blank, OXI (Berlin), Radion (Amsterdam), AND Club (South Africa), and has been featured on HÖR Berlin, Red Light Radio, and Rinse FM. Alongside his club work, Not Operated has composed music for film, dance, and orchestra, collaborating with ensembles like the Berliner Philharmoniker KreativOrchester, Lautsprecherorchester Berlin, and Lviv Symphony Orchestra, as well as visual artists such as Lillevan and Philipp Geist. His work has been performed at festivals including Lucerne Festival, Ravenna Festival, Kontakte (Berlin), Platine (Cologne), and Goethe Institut events in Rome and Palermo. A resident DJ at Club Church (Amsterdam) and co-founder of the Berlin party PULVA, Not Operated is known for his dawless live setups using high-end hardware (Erica Synths, Soma, Elta), and has delivered lectures and workshops at institutions such as UdK and TU Berlin.
